Not much I can say about this instrumental song
although the song and album titles provide some hints
in the pervasive atmosphere of ambiguity:
“Yawny at the Apocalypse”
∼
“Armchair Apocrypha”
≅
an apt description
of postmodern life
≠
life
Many thanks to Andrew Bird

Thanks for reading – comments are welcomed!
The song starts with what sounds like the pre-dawn chorus of birds so perhaps Andrew Bird’s song is merely about being literally “yawny” at the dawn “apocalypse” (unveiling of the day). But I still think he seems to like incongruousness and the hints that incongruous things provide toward things like social commentary or the human condition. The video which was not an official one, seems to follow the “literal” view I’m noting in this comment.
